  • Young adult means that the target audience is young adults, somewhere between 12 and 18 years old. There are books written in all different genres for the young adult category. 
  • Just because a book is written from the point of view of a teenager doesn’t necessarily make it a young adult book.
  • Young Adult fiction is NOT just The Hunger Games, Twilight, and Divergent.
