Review:
I was given a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.
First, I’d like to address the audiobook. I haven’t had the occasion to listen to one in the past but I went on a trip by myself and listening to a book really passed the time! I’ve always been afraid that my mind would wander but that didn’t happen at all.
The main character in Lust is Elaine. She grows from a naive teenager to a naive Secret Service Agent. She’s a strong young woman who has been through a lot but still has a lot to learn. Her character is complex and interesting. I found myself cringing toward the end of the book because it looked like she might finally find happiness but the way her life had gone so far, I was skeptical…that’s all I’ll say. No spoilers here!
The story grabs your interest from the start and keeps your interest throughout. Mike Wells’ writing flows well and is easy to read (or listen to).
I definitely recommend Lust, and I’m glad I have all three audiobooks because it would have been a long wait for Money (#2) based on the way Lust ended. Watch for my review of Money later this week.
Available on Amazon: Lust, Money & Murder (Books 1, 2 & 3).
