Delilah Dusticle is a delightful tale about a girl who has the gift of eradicating dust. She loses that gift, however, when her heart is broken. Because she can no longer eradicate dust and actually has dust showering off of her, she loses her job and her home and becomes an outcast. Eventually, she finds a true friend and is able to return to her old dust eradicating self.

This is a great book for young readers. Not only is it a fun story to read but it also has an important message. Delilah learns the hard way that if you don’t realize one dream, you shouldn’t just give up. She also figures out that friends and caring about others is important. Once she realizes that, she is able to turn her life around and, with the help of her friend, realizes her dreams.

This is another fun story for young readers about Delilah Dusticle and her cleaning crew. They’ve been invited to Transylvania to help Count Dracula get ready for his annual party. He is a descendant of the infamous Count Dracula and is quite different from the original.

There’s a lot more action in the second book than in the first. It’s a story that young readers will definitely especially with all of the quirky characters.

The message in Delilah Dusticle’s Transylvania Adventure is that you should use your gifts, whatever they are, the the best of your ability.

I think this is another book that young readers would definitely enjoy. I did find that the errors in the second half of this one were a bit distracting.

Update 10/5/14: The author informed me that she hired a professional proofreader to get rid of the errors.
