My Review

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

This is Lauren Carr’s eleventh Mac Faraday novel, and only the second one I’ve read but it definitely stands on its own. When I have time, I plan on reading the previous ones. I like Lauren Carr’s writing style because it’s easy to follow, and I especially like the dialogue. 

There are a lot of characters in Cancelled Vows but there is a Cast of Characters listed at the beginning which is a great idea. I like Mac Faraday and his wife, Archie Monday, and I love Mac’s dog, Gnarly!

There is a murder mystery that Mac’s brother, David, needs to solve when he goes to New York to get a divorce from a wife he didn’t even realize he had. The murder is just the first twist along the way and it becomes apparent that David may not make it to his own wedding. There’s never a dull moment when it comes to Mac Faraday mysteries!

I definitely recommend Cancelled Vows. If you like mystery and intrigue, it’s one you don’t want to miss.
