I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
It’s Monday morning and Alycat doesn’t want to go to school. She admits to her mother that she has the Monday Blues and her mom makes it clear that she has to go whether she feels like it or not. Alycat is also worried about finding a talent for the talent show on Tuesday and her mom tells her that she’ll figure something out, she always does.
Alycat’s mom is right, she does figure something out with her friend Spotty. She ends up happy that she went to school and the next day they’re a hit at the talent show.
Alycat and the Monday Blues is not only a cute book with bright and adorable pictures but it also teaches children that we all have talent. It’s a good book to help children learn about self worth.
