Book Review: Monsters Can’t Sleep by Michael Gordon

17 Nov

A little boy stays alone in his bed at night. He listens to weird noises that are coming from under his bed and assumes they belong to something very scary. He remembers that mom always tells him to be brave. He turns the light on and looks under the bed.  There is a cute monster under his bed eating cookies. The boy is wondering what is he doing there?

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Monsters Can’t Sleep is a cute picture book for children. The illustrations are accompanied by rhymes which are about a boy who is scared of monsters under his bed. When he looks, he realizes that the monster under his bed is adorable and hungry. Having this monster under his bed will help him sleep better!

This is a fun book with colorful illustrations that will keep the attention of children, as well as help reassure them that they don’t have to be scared of monsters.
