My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Sarah’s Shadow is a colorful children’s book about Sarah Simpkins. She made a wish that her shadow would go away because some of the kids on the playground teased her about it. And it worked! Her shadow waved goodbye and left. Will this make her happy? Will the kids stop teasing her now?

Sarah learns the hard way that we need to think before we make a decision based on feelings. Being teased or bullied is a terrible feeling and poor Sarah just didn’t want anyone to make fun of her anymore. Getting rid of her shadow, though, probably wasn’t the best choice.

I definitely recommend Sarah’s Shadow as reading for children. It teaches children to use their imagination, it’s fun to read, and it has great illustrations.
