My Review
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
Billy Bog Brush is having a good day until he hears his neighbor calling for help. Her house is on fire and the door is locked! Billy decides he must help and because he’s so small he can get into her house through the cat door. Unfortunately, the key to the house is on a hook and he’s not tall enough to reach it. The way he figures out step by step how to get the key is amazing and shows great analytical thinking. It’s a great way to teach children to try to think ahead when they’re planning on doing something, especially in an emergency situation!
The illustrations were different but children would probably enjoy them. I do wish there were more illustrations.
At the end of the book are several blank pages with suggestion on things to draw, such as Mrs. Brown’s cat. It’s an awesome way to help children to use their imaginations.
