The Keto Diet is a common trend nowadays. We have a good awareness about keto trends. It is a diet that contains a good amount of fats and some proteins as well. However, it is low in carbohydrates. Keto desserts are made sugar-free, and this is done by using sugar substitutes.
If you eat keto desserts, then your body will have a lesser amount of sugars floating in blood. Lower blood glucose levels will eventually lead to a lower production of insulin.
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
I read this book not because I’m interested in the Keto Diet but because I’m a diabetic and was interested in the sugar-free recipes. All of these recipes are sugar-free and use other sweeteners. One of those, erythritol, causes no alteration in blood sugar levels. Although some of these recipes are very high in fat, some such as the different flavored Fat Bombs (chocolate, cookie dough, etc.) aren’t too bad.
If you’re on the Keto Diet, this is a great book to use for when you want something sweet. The best thing I learned was the different sweeteners that can be used as an alternative to sugar.
