Audio Story Review: Weird & Wonderful by Music Audio Stories

Weird and Wonderful

Flyer_HalloweenMy Review

What a sweet tale! It’s about a centipede and his friends who are each some time of bug. I never thought about hugging a slug before I listened to this, not that I think I could now.

Even though this story is short, about 4 minutes, it gives children a new perspective on bugs…even though they’re weird, they’re still wonderful. It includes some singing that is geared to young children. Since the attentions span of youngsters is so short, this story is just the right length!

Weird & Wonderful is a great story for parents or classrooms. I went to the Music Audio Stories websitewhich not only has information about the story, but also how to teach children about insects. There are 8 other audio stories available, some of which I’ve reviewed in the past. They’re great for young children.

Book Review: Robert & Johnson’s Space Adventure Music Audio Story

Robert & Johnson's Space Adventure

About the Book

There was a forest called Forest Friendly where all of the animals were very good friends but the two best of friends were Robert the brown bear and Johnson the badger. They loved to play guitar and banjo and sing cheerful songs. One day, when they were out in the forest playing guitar and banjo, they found a strange round metal object. They climbed inside. What they didn’t know was that this was no cave. It was a Spaceship!

The story includes an original classical soundtrack with a psychedelic space theme and a cheerful song written by the two lead actors in the story, Aris Tsigaras as Robert the bear and Aaron John as the badger. Cormac McCoy is the voice of Bowda the alien. The story teaches children about our Solar System and the Planets. Accompanied by unique sound effects throughout.

My Review:

I was given this audio story for an honest review.

I had listened to several music audio stories by Busy Bees Publishing in the past and thought they were cute, fun, and age appropriate. This story is for children ages 4 and up. The dialogue is simple enough for children to understand. It’s also short so it should keep the attention of even the younger children.

Robert & Johnson’s Space Adventure is not only a fun story to listen to but it teaches children about our solar system and the planets.

Book Review: Litter Bugs Music Audio Story

Litter Bugs

About the Book:

Bugsville is a lovely town in which everything is neat and clean and all of the bugs work together to keep it that way. Then, one day, the bugs have more trash than usual to pick up. They find that there are some litter bugs in town. Instead of getting upset, they invite those bugs to join their club with the stipulation that they help keep the trash picked up.

My Review:

I was given this audio story for an honest review.

I had listened to several music audio stories by Busy Bees Publishing in the past and thought they were cute, fun, and age appropriate. This story is for children ages 3 to 7. The dialogue is simple enough for children to understand and the story also has background music and sound effects. It’s short which is important for a young child because, as we all know, they get easily distracted.

Litter Bugs is not only a fun story to listen to but it teaches children problem solving, how to get along with others, and, of course, not to litter!

I think these stories are great for kids. There’s a free download of one of the stories, March of the Ants,  if you want to try for yourself if you have youngsters.

Book Review: Christmas Magic

12-20-2014 6-20-49 PMTitle: Christmas Magic

Publisher: Busy Bees Publishing

About the Book:

It was the day before Christmas which means, it was Christmas Eve! It was snowing, so everything was white and the sky was so clear and bright. Icicles hung from the trees and snow flakes fell to the ground and most of the animals were fast asleep. But this year Santa was so busy, that he had to call upon extra helpers to deliver all the presents. And so, he called upon the ants. The ants set off on a winter adventure to deliver all the presents but can they make it to their final destination before Christmas morning?

My Review:

I was given this audio story for an honest review.

I had listened to several music audio stories by Busy Bees Publishing in the past and thought they were cute, fun, and age appropriate. This story is for children ages 3 to 7 and features the characters from the first five stories by Anna Christina.

Along with a cute story about Christmas, it has music and sound effects throughout. At the end of the story, there is a sing-along Christmas song sung by the entire cast.

I definitely think young children and their parents will enjoy Christmas Magic.

More About This Story:

This story is an amalgamation of the first five stories written by Anna-Christina and includes an original classical soundtrack with a fantastic sing-a-long Christmas song featuring the whole cast of Music Audio Stories! Character voices by Anna-Christina as Winniepeg the chicken and Adie Hardy as Sid the ant, The Head of The Ants, ‘Yes’ the squirrel and Tyler the dog. David Ryder Prangley (singer of Glam Rock band Rachel Stamp) as Johnny the hamster. Paul Kaye as Captain Russell the pirate crow (you may have seen Paul as Mr Wormwood in the award winning West End hit musical Matilda. Paul has appeared on TV and in film in roles such as Franky Wilde in the award winning ‘It’s all gone Pete Tong’ and is currently appearing in the new series of Game of Thrones). Kiria Lepink (singer of Viva Le Pink) as Butterfly the fairy. Belle Star (a seasoned musician) as ‘No’ the squirrel. Rob Stitch (singer of Rhino) as Jimi the cat and Tom Meadows (you can find him touring the world drumming for some of today’s biggest artists such as Kylie Minogue) as Piggy the Pig. Accompanied by unique sound effects throughout.

I was given these 3 audio stories for an honest review.

These stories are for children ages 3 to 7. The dialogue is simple enough for children to understand yet they’re very descriptive so that it would be easy for a child to use his or her imagination to picture the story. Each story also has background music that fits that particular story. They are pretty short which is important for a young child because, as we all know, they get easily distracted.

I think these stories are great for kids. There’s a free download of one of the stories, March of the Ants,  if you want to try for yourself if you have youngsters.
