About the Book

(from Goodreads)

This Book is a Super Plus length novel–129,000 words long

One Woman, Two Hot Guys, A Galaxy of Problems…

Kat O’Connor is no pushover. She’s a no nonsense girl with a commonsense approach to life. But there’s nothing common about what’s happening to her lately…

First she was forced to have a kinky mind ménage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy—Twin Kindred warriors, Deep and Lock—in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn’t get their feelings out of her head. And now she’s on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.

Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. But though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother…

Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past—a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm. For if he lets anyone get too close, the unbearable pain he has already endured once may happen again.

Now Kat and her twin warriors are on a quest—but they’re all looking for different things. Kat wants to find a way to dissolve the half-formed bond between them so she can be alone in her own head again. Lock wants to convince both her and his brother to complete the bond which will keep them together forever. And Deep is trying to protect his heart and love Kat from afar…though it grows more and more difficult to deny the hunger he feels for her growing inside him.

Their travels will take them from the uncharted wilds of Twin Moons to the Deadworld of the Scourge home planet. Will Kat find a cure for having other people’s emotions crowding her mind? Will Lock convince his brother and the woman they both love that they’re all meant to be together forever? And will Deep ever unshield his heart long enough to let Kat in?

You’ll have to read Sought, the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series, to find out…

My Review

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Sought is the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series. I had listened to the first 2 books, Claimed and Hunted, about twins Olivia and Sophia, and the warriors who claimed them. Sought is about their best friend, Kat, who is in grave danger unless the twin Kindred, Lock and Deep, can figure out how to help her. Olivia and Sophia also find out that they have a cousin, but she has been kidnapped by the Scourge so they don’t know if they’ll ever get to know her.

I like the characters in these books. I love the way the Kindred warriors protect the woman they love. Lock and Deep are no different, but Deep and Kat both have issues to overcome and they’re both as stubborn as can be.

I don’t read a lot of erotic romance but I think these books are great.  I like the way Evangeline Anderson incorporates sex into the story. The people who are in love physically need each other. I can’t wait for the next audiobook from Evangeline Anderson!

Warning: this is an erotic romance so if you’re not comfortable with a lot of sex and sexually explicit language, don’t read this book.

About the Book

(from Goodreads)

A desperate girl on the run with nowhere to hide… A warrior who has made a vow never to claim a bride… Sophia Waterhouse is being Hunted and the only man who can save her is the one she fears the most…

Sophia Waterhouse has always been afraid of needles and vampires so there’s no way she wants anything to do with a modern day Count Dracula—even if he does come wrapped in the package of a huge Kindred warrior with blond hair and ice blue eyes. She’s only on the Kindred Mothership to participate in her sister Liv’s wedding and that’s all.

Sylvan is a Tranq Kindred who has made a sacred vow never to call a bride. After a devastating rejection on his home planet, his heart is a block of ice no one can melt—or so he thinks until he meets Sophia.

When their ship is forced down in the middle of a rugged mountain range Sophia and Sylvan are stranded. Running for their lives they have only each other to depend on. Will they give in to the intense attraction between them or will the evil hunting Sophia take its toll? You’ll have to read Brides of the Kindred Book 2—Hunted to find out.

My Review

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Hunted is the second book in the Brides of the Kindred series. I had listened to the first book, Claimed, about Olivia and Baird, the warrior who claimed her. Hunted is about Olivia’s twin sister, Sophia, who is being hunted by the Scourge, an evil alien race. Sylvan promises Baird to guard and protect her with his life and, boy, does he!

I like the characters in this book. I love the way the Kindred warriors protect the woman they love and Sylvan is no different, even though he has taken a vow never to claim a bride and he believes that he is incapable of falling in love. Sophia gets a little whiny at times but I still like her. The twins’ best friend Kat is great! She’s sassy and opinionated.

I don’t read a lot of erotic romance but I think these books are great.  I like the way Evangeline Anderson incorporates sex into the story. The people who are in love physically need each other, even when they don’t realize yet that they are in love. I can’t wait for the next audiobook from Evangeline Anderson!

Warning: this is an erotic romance so if you’re not comfortable with a lot of sex and sexually explicit language, don’t read this book.

About the Book

(from Goodreads)

Olivia Waterhouse has just graduated from nursing school and has her whole life ahead of her—until she gets drafted. Problem is, she isn’t being forced into the Army, she’s been chosen as a Kindred bride.

The Kindred are huge alien warriors—a race of genetic traders whose population is ninety-five percent male. After saving Earth from the threat of invasion they demand a reward—the right to find brides among the population. The chances of being chosen are about the same as those of winning the lottery—guess it’s just Liv’s lucky day.

Baird is a Beast Kindred who recently escaped imprisonment and torture at the hands of the malevolent Scourge. Through the torment and pain only one thing kept him sane—the thought of finding and claiming his bride—Olivia. His need to possess her is a burning intensity that threatens to consume them both.

Angry at having her future and her family taken away from her, Liv vows to fight back the only way she can—by resisting. She has one month on the Kindred Mothership with Baird—their claiming period. If she can keep from having bonding sex with him during that time, she can go home and get on with her life on Earth.

But Baird isn’t going to make it easy for her. Every week he is allowed to touch Liv more and more intimately and according to the contract she signed, she has to let him. She’s determined to resist him but his touch sets her on fire. And just as she thinks she knows what she wants, a twist of fate and an attack by the faceless Scourge AllFather changes everything…

My Review

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Warning: if you don’t like books with a lot of sex and sexually explicit language, this book isn’t for you.

Claimed has a lot of sex in it but it is an integral part of the story. Earth is being protected by the Kindred against another alien race called the Scourge. The Kindred have agreed to protect Earth as long as they are allowed to choose females as their mates. Once a Kindred warrior claims his bride, they have 30 days to bond or she may return to her old life. There are a lot of rules that must be followed, one of which that the warrior and his bride must be together for those 30 days and the bride isn’t allowed to communicate with her family.

Bonding is not just sex but one step beyond that. When Baird claims Olivia to be his bride, she must live with him on the Kindred ship and he does everything in his power to get her to bond with him willingly both physically and emotionally. Olivia has a twin on Earth and no matter how much she is tempted by Baird’s gentleness, kindness, patience and sexiness, she knows she has to resist so she can go back to her twin. She can be annoying at times, not because of her stubbornness, which is understandable, but because she often doesn’t listen. Not only is that frustrating for poor Baird but it puts her in danger.

The idea behind this story is great. There are some unexpected twists along the way and if you don’t mind, or really like, a lot of sex and sexually explicit language, this is a good read. I’m looking forward to listening to the next audiobook in the Kindred series which is about Olivia’s twin, Sophia.

Book Review: The Interview: Law Firm Erotica Book 1 by Silk Jones

23349567Title: The Interview: Law Firm Erotica Book 1

Author: Silk Jones

Genre: Erotica

Publication Date: October 8, 2014

About the Book:

A laid off legal secretary with a curiosity about the B.D.S.M. lifestyle responds to an advertisement in a lifestyle magazine placed by a law firm seeking a “submissive legal assistant” and gets more than she bargained for. This short story is the kickoff to a series about a law firm that has quite a bit going on behind closed doors.

Available on Amazon.

My Review:

I received a free ecopy of this novella for an honest review.

The Interview is a novella about Laura, an experienced legal assistant who decides she wants to try something new. She applies to be a submissive legal assistant. She’s never had any experience in BDSM but she does investigate online and reads BDSM 101 before applying. She finds it intriguing and thinks it might be something she’d enjoy.

I don’t read a lot of erotica but what have read in the past has made me…let’s say a bit flushed. This novella did not do that.

The Interview is very short but if you’re looking for a quick read that is about Laura’s first taste of the world of BDSM (especially spanking), then you might like it.

About the Author:

Silk Jones is an attorney who writes erotica, erotic romance and erotic poetry. Although she has written several erotic spanking stories to entertain her friends, this is her first foray into the publishing world.

Asta Everly is one of the wealthiest girls on campus—maybe even the wealthiest.
But as long as people know their place, Asta’s middle name could be bitch—for all she cares.

But lately they’ve attached a new name.
Whore.
And the frenzy has stuck viciously in her mind.

When there’s no going back, the best consolation she has is to destroy someone else’s reputation—someone not so wealthy, someone untouched—too pure to even hook up one time before saying I do. The girl on campus whose face is smattered over every pathetic, waste of time, good deed, fundraising poster.
She just needs to enlist a game player to even her private score. . .

Review:

I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review.

Ruse is a novella about Asta, Bryson, and Shay, who are all college kids. Asta is a self-centered brat who can’t stand Shay. It’s obvious that she’s jealous of Shay and she wants to hurt her, so she tries to set her up for a big heartache. What ends up happening is what I expected, thank goodness.

I didn’t care at all for Asta, the main character, and because this is a short story, I didn’t really get to know much about Bryson or Shay except that they both seemed like decent people.

Although I didn’t care much for the content of the story, Kaley Copely does have a good writing style. It’s easy to follow and flows well.

Book Review: Hers to Choose by Lizzie Ashworth

18192482Title: Hers to Choose

Author: Lizzie Ashworth

Genre: Erotica

Publication Date: June 20, 2013

Description (from Goodreads):

Bryn McClure is running out of time. With foreclosure in the last stages, she’s about to lose the beloved twelve-hundred acre Ozark farm she inherited from her grandparents. Her desperate last hope is to sell hunting rights for deer season.

Alex Cannon is running out of options. After a humiliating discovery about his wife, Alex’s cousin and property development business partner Dan has spiraled into a life-threatening depression. Alex hatches a brilliant idea of what might help Dan, and on advice from an old friend, contacts Bryn. A hunting trip might be the perfect route to a new outlook for Dan, especially with the extra touch Alex wants from Bryn.

When Bryn agrees to Alex’s special request, she’s thrilled not only with the promise of badly needed income, but also with the prospect of bondage and discipline. Her appetite for kink has sharpened during her lonely year of rural living. It seemed like such a good idea when she agreed to it.

But standing on her porch watching these two gorgeous men climb out of their truck and walk toward her, she thinks maybe she hadn’t fully appreciated how complicated things could become. Alex stuns her with his warmth and charm, but the cold and angry Dan is the one she’s supposed to submit to. By the second day, when the first spanking sparks her passions, she realizes she may be in for more than she expected.

Review:

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I don’t read a lot of erotica but I don’t mind reading it occasionally so I agreed to read and review Hers to Choose for a change of pace.

Lizzie Ashworth has a good style of writing. She’s not just a good storyteller but she is able to bring out your emotions. At one point, Bryn was unable to cry but I sure was able to cry for her. I did find the story a little slow about 3/4 of the way through but it picked back up toward the end. And what an ending!

As far as the sex and the BDSM, Hers to Choose puts 50 Shades to shame. It was not only descriptive but intense. So intense, in fact, that I have the sequel, His to Lose, but I’m going to wait a few days before I read it. I think I’ll read a children’s book next…

If you enjoy erotica, this is a must read. Available on Amazon.
