My Review

I have read all of the Mitzy Moon Mysteries and was bummed to hear that there wouldn’t be any more…until I found out that Mitzy’s adventures would continue with her future husband, Erich, as Harper & Moon Investigators! I was happy to read this prequel.

Mitzy is at her usual tricks. She comes across a murder (at least she didn’t find the body this time) of an old friend of her ghostly grandmother. Of course, she’s planning on helping with the investigation as she always does. Her fiancé has accepted the fact that she’s going to help on investigations, but the deputy, Paulsen, doesn’t like Mitzy or her “nosiness.”

Mitzy goes undercover as a wrestler which is fun and funny. She learns a lot through her psychic powers, and Erich’s team is able to get enough evidence to bring all the pieces of the puzzle together. They make a great team!

I love these stories and feel like I know the characters of Pin Cherry Harbor well. Along with Mitzy and Erich, each character has their own quirkiness. She even has a psychic caracal that she inherited from her grandma. He often offers clues that help the investigations along once she can figure out what the clues mean.

I’m looking forward to reading the first book in the Harper & Moon series!

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

This is the 21st and last book in the series. I was sad to hear that it is the last book, but Trixie has another series starting!

Mitzy Moon is hilarious and a klutz. Her boyfriend, Erick, is the sheriff and loves Mitzy. In fact, Mitzy is waiting for a proposal but every time she’s around Erick, all she sees in her mind is a snow princess. Did I mention that Mitzy has powers? She has learned to hone those powers over the past three years from her mentor, lawyer, and friend, Silas. She could read Erick’s mind, but she’s promised herself not to do that.

As usual, Mitzy and Erick are on a case, and they work great together as a team with his skills as a sheriff and her psychic skills. Of course, her caracal, Pyewacket, has some helpful input as well.

The people of Pin Cherry Harbor have become like close friends, and I’m thrilled that there’s more to come.

My Review

It’s hard to believe that this is the 20th book in the series. I’ve enjoyed every story along the way, and I hope there are many more to come.

It’s uncanny how murder always seems to follow Mitzy. At least her boyfriend, Erick the sheriff, knows that she’s just a magnet for murders and not a murderer. This time it’s a celebrity chef who is found in Mitzy’s Halloween display of all things!

Mitzy and Erick’s relationship continues to grow. He has even accepted that she has supernatural gifts. And when she wants to have a seance to talk to her dead mother, he’s willing to be there! Mitzy’s mentor, Silas, warns her that a seance could be dangerous, but she’s all in. Will they all survive the seance?

This is an excellent series for anyone who enjoys fun, quick reads with great characters. I’m looking forward to the next one!

My Review

This is book 19 in the series, and I hope there will be another 19 books (or more). There are so many great characters. Mitzy is hilarious and a klutz. Her boyfriend, Erick, is the sheriff and loves Mitzy, but he’s out of town for the first half of this book. Her caracal, Pyewacket, and her ghost grandma always lend a bit of humor.

Mitzy and Deputy Paulsen go to rescue Mitzy’s cousin and her bridesmaids out in the middle of nowhere. I know everyone Mitzy usually relies on is out of town, but I would think at the least that her grandpa would join them. However, I enjoyed getting to know Deputy Paulsen and seeing that there is another side to her. Mitzy even seems to have a new respect for her. Mitzy in the outdoors was also quite funny.

Mitzy and Erick’s relationship is still sweet, and I was happy to see that they’re making progress. And Erick has a big secret too! That was a surprise!

This is an excellent series for anyone who enjoys fun, quick reads with great characters. I’m looking forward to the next one!

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Even when Mitzy Moon decides that she wants nothing more to do with her psychic abilities, she ends up in trouble and in the middle of a bank robbery! Of course, Mitzy can’t just sit back and do nothing. She has to figure out a way for all of the hostages to get away before anyone is harmed. And when she meets two ghosts in the bank, she knows it’s her duty to help them move on.

This is book 18 in the series, and I would miss the citizens of Pin Cherry Harbor if Trixie Silvertale stopped writing about it. There are so many great characters. Mitzy is hilarious and a klutz. There are times that her clumsiness even comes in handy. Her boyfriend, Erick, is the sheriff and loves Mitzy, but will they ever take the next step? And after thinking she was an orphan for so many years, she keeps finding out about more family. It’s great!

I love this series! This is my favorite book in the series so far, and it is number 18. They just keep getting better and better. There’s a big twist at the end of this one, so it’s going to be a long wait for number 19.

Book Review: Dangers & Empty Mangers by Trixie Silvertale

A frozen cheesemaker. A vandalized Nativity. Can our psychic sleuth serve up justice before she’s iced?

Mitzy Moon might be getting too comfortable. Her love life is satisfying, her family is supportive, and her extra senses are becoming more reliable. But, before she can bask in that glow, a suspicious death and a missing Messiah threaten to spoil the New Year…

Sniffing out the murderer of a local cheesemaker should be her guiding star, but there’s nothing as upsetting as a stolen baby Jesus. And with the trail growing smellier than a ripe Limburger, she’s desperate for help from her supernatural supporting cast. Unfortunately, with her powers now leading her in circles, she may have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Can Mitzy peel the rind off the culprit before she’s prematurely aged?

Dangers and Empty Mangers is the seventeenth book in the hilarious paranormal cozy mystery series, Mitzy Moon Mysteries. If you like snarky heroines, supernatural misfits, and a dash of romance, then you’ll love Trixie Silvertale’s heartfelt whodunits.

My Review

Mitzy Moon is at it again. Her sheriff boyfriend asks her to find the missing Jesus from a manger scene which she is happy to do, but she is also investigating a death that a friend asks her to look into. He thinks it’s murder, and she’s determined to help him find justice.

This is book 17 in the series, and I almost feel like a citizen of Pin Cherry Harbor. There are so many great characters here. Mitzy is hilarious as usual. Her clumsiness tickles me, maybe because I can relate to it so well. Her boyfriend, Erick, has to be the best boyfriend in the history of boyfriends. Mitzy’s inherited caracal, Pyewacket, is possibly my favorite character. He’s always giving important clues to Mitzy and seems to understand everything that is said.

Even though Mitzy’s supernatural powers are on the fritz because of pain meds for a sprained ankle, she’s able to solve both cases with the help of those around her…and an intervention by her grandma.

I love this series! Many series tend to get stale by the time they make it to book 17, but this one keeps getting better. Each book has a satisfying ending, but I’m always looking forward to finding out what Mitzy gets into next.

Book Review: Carols & Yule Perils by Trixie Silvertale

Mitzy Moon can’t wait to cut her own gorgeous Christmas tree. But her forest adventure loses its thrill when the pristine blanket of snow reveals a blood trail. And her heart thuds when the crimson droplets lead to a body, bringing her Yuletide festivities to a deadly end.

When her only employee becomes the prime suspect, Mitzy is forced to take the case. But even though she enrolls her eavesdropping Ghost-ma and a spoiled feline to help unwrap the evidence, each uncovered clue only seems to dig a more messy, murderous hole.

Can Mitzy unstick herself from the tacky case, or is her festive fun about to turn fatal?

Carols and Yule Perils is the sixteenth book in the hilarious Mitzy Moon Mysteries paranormal cozy mystery series. If you like snarky heroines, supernatural intrigue, and a dash of romance, then you’ll love Trixie Silvertale’s twisty tinsel-clad tale.

My Review

Dead bodies seem to show up when Mitzy Moon is around. When she and her boyfriend, Erick, go looking for a Christmas tree, that’s what they find. As usual, she and her sheriff boyfriend work on the case together. He gave up trying to keep her out of a case a long time ago.

While they’re working on the case, there’s a lot of drama going on with her grandma. I didn’t think Isadora had any more surprises up her sleeve but Mitzy uncovers something that her grandma was planning on taking to her grave. Or the other side, I guess. What a shock! I was in tears more than once.

I love how the relationship with Mitzy and Erick is progressing…slow but steady. They’re perfect for each other. He’s so patient with all of her quirks and the never ending drama!

I always like when Mitzy’s family is in the forefront. Her stepbrother is home for the Christmas break, and Christmas Eve dinner is spent with the whole family (plus one or two), and it’s both touching and funny. Trixie Silvertale always knows how to bring humor to any situation. Although this book stands on its own, I recommend reading all of the books in order to get the most out of the series.

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy of the ARC from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

An old friend of Mitzy’s shows up and all he does is talk about money. From the beginning, I didn’t care for him. I guess I’m too suspicious. Mitzy seems to be okay with her old friend Ben but since he talks about nothing but her money, she decides to get rid of him ASAP. Unfortunately, as often happens, Mitzy’s plans don’t work out how she plans. In fact, there are a couple of twists along the way that I didn’t see coming.

When Mitzy disappears, it only takes a day or so for Erick, her boyfriend and the sheriff, to know that his suspicions are true and the Mitzy is missing. I like how everyone who cares for Mitzy, even her cat, comes together to figure out where she is. Of course, Mitzy is not one to sit on her hands and wait to be rescued. And no matter how much danger she’s in, she still has her sense of humor.

I love how the relationship with Mitzy and Erick is progressing…slow but steady. They’re perfect for each other. I’m looking forward to them taking the next step.

This is one of my favorites in the series. Even though there is a lot of drama, it is still written in a way that it is fun and funny. Although this book stands on its own, I recommend reading all of the books in order to get the most out of the series.

Book Review: Castaways & Longer Days by Trixie Silvertale

Mitzy Moon longs to embrace the warmth of summer at a community-wide celebration. Enjoying a midsummer sailboat regatta, strawberry cake, and bonfires on the beach sounds divine. But when dark skies unleash a superstorm, the festivities turn deadly…

While everyone pitches in to rescue stranded friends and neighbors from the wreckage, Mitzy senses evil in the debris. Her entitled feline is missing and the handsome sheriff is in no mood for her hunches. But she refuses to buy into his black cloud of skepticism, because she’s sure one of the bodies didn’t die of natural causes.

Can Mitzy catch a killer before the clues are washed away?

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free ARC from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

A tornado hit Pin Cherry Harbor! As the cleanup and rescue began, one of the bodies found was not because of the tornado because she had a knife in her back. Of course, Mitzy was determined to help find out who murdered the victim even though she was definitely not a friend.

Interestingly, the library being hit in the tornado really hit home with me. I lost a bookstore in a tornado 10 years ago, so it was easy for me to picture the rubble of the library.

The characters in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries are great. Mitzy is smart, hilarious, and determined. Erick is the perfect boyfriend and is almost too good to be true. No matter what mischief Mitzy gets into, he takes it in stride. I missed her stepbrother in this book and was happy to see her father a little bit.

Castaways and Longer Days is another fun paranormal mystery with suspense and sweet romance. This is my favorite in the series so far. Even though a lot of it is fun and funny, it had me weeping at the end this time. Although this book stands on its own, I recommend reading all of the books in order to get the most out of the series.

Mitzy and her sheriff boyfriend, Erick, are going on a scenic train trip that includes a murder mystery party until a real murder occurs. Mitzy and Erick are on the case, and they make a great team. There are many suspects but they’re still able to solve the case before the next depot. There are also a few twists along the way which is always fun.

The characters in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries are unique, flawed, and loveable. Mitzy is smart, hilarious, and determined. Erick is the perfect boyfriend and is almost too good to be true. No matter what mischief Mitzy gets into, he takes it in stride.

Dames & Deadly Games is another fun paranormal mystery with suspense and sweet romance. Even though several of the usual characters have little or no part, it’s still one of my favorites.
