My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Super Nutrition is a good source for anyone who wants to learn how to live a healthy life. This book has a lot of healthy recipes and a meal planner at the back. This is not a cookbook or a diet plan, it is a way to change your habits and feel better. This book is for everyone, but if you need to lose weight, this is the best way to do it because the weight will stay off.

At the beginning of the book, the author explains that he wrote Super Nutrition to help others live the best life they can. It also gives his top ten health tips as well as a few basics that will help you start making changes. For example, it’s best to buy organic foods if possible and he explains the reasons.

I plan to use Super Nutrition as a guide and to change some of my habits but it will be slowly. I’m going to have to work at finding a lot of the foods listed in the recipes. There aren’t any stores in a small town to even purchase organic foods let alone Pink Himalayan Salt or a mortar and pestle.

My Review

When Cedric moves into the neighborhood, he and Celia instantly become friends. They both like apples and learn how good they are for you. I think there may be a little too much information about apples to keep a child’s interest. The pictures are cute and colorful, though, and may help.

At the end of the book are recipes for apple cake. They look nutritious and delicious!

After a rainy night Celia had a fun idea as usual. Who knew that what started out as mud and grass clippings would turn out to be the most delicious, delectable snack they or anyone else had tasted…yes, even her teenage brother, Jake.

My Review

What a cute book! Celia and Cedric make real dirt balls after it rains and, of course, can’t eat them but Celia’s mom shows them how to make pretend dirt balls that are a healthy snack. Everyone they share them with thinks they’re great.

The recipe for the dirt balls is at the end of the book. I’ve made similar ones and they are yummy as well as healthy.

This would be a fun book to read and then make dirt balls!

Celia and Cedric meet a new friend! In this new adventure, they meet the little green dragon who becomes a fun playmate and an inspiration for a yummy new recipe. Celia and Cedric enjoy the Little Green Dragon’s smoothie and you can too!

My Review

Another cute Celia and Cedric book. This one encourages children to use their imagination. It also has cute, colorful pictures.

The healthy snack at the end of this book is green like their new friend. The recipe for the snack and nutrition information for chia is included at the end for parents.

This would be another fun book to read and then make the snack.

I received a free ecopy of the above books for an honest review.
