Greg Kihn is a rock star, seasoned radio host and author. Rubber Soul, his latest novel is inspired by intimate interviews that he conducted with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Pete Best, Yoko Ono and Patti Harrison. The lads: John, Paul, George and Ringo and Dust Bin Bob become firm friends, sharing vinyl that will spark a revolution. Murder, mystery and Beatlemania mayhem ensues—with the boys narrowly avoiding an international incident and an attempted assassination. It’s the ultimate Beatles story that could have happened!

I was born in the early sixties so I missed out on Beatlemania but I’ve been a fan since I can remember. I’m always amazed when I see clips of teenage girls going crazy over the Beatles. Rubber Soul tells the story of their rise to fame from the perspective of their fictional friend, Dust Bin Bob.
Bobbie, or Dust Bin Bob as John Lennon named him, is a good friend to the Beatles and brings them records from the U.S. throuhghout their beginning years. After their rise to fame, he’s there for them when they need him. he’s a good guy and always tries to do the right thing.
I like Greg Kihn’s writing style and he is well versed in the history of the Beatles. Any fan would enjoy this story. Although it’s mostly about the Beatles, there’s a murder mystery in here too.
I’d recommend Rubber Soul to any Beatles or rock fan.

NBC called Greg Kihn “Rock’s True Renaissance Man” and for good reason. As part of the eponymous band he has: toured the globe, had hit records, been inducted into the San Jose Rock Hall Of Fame, opened for the Rolling Stones and jammed with Bruce Springsteen.
