His initial curiosity deepens into infatuation as he watches her from across the backyard fence. The story takes some interesting turns when Eddie asks about the girl, only to be told that no girl lives in the house. A cranky, old woman is the only resident next door. Relentless to get to the truth, Eddie investigates and finally meets the girl. She is a shutin who has not experienced the outside world. Eddie’s affections are genuine and heartfelt. Review:

I received a free ecopy of this novelette for an honest review.

This is a story about Eddie Royal who meets and falls in love with his brother’s mysterious next door neighbor. The story is only 36 pages so it’s a quick read but I did like it. The one thing I wanted to know more about is the Royal family and how they became so famous.I imagine that will be expanded on in future stories.

If you’re looking for a quick, pleasant read, this is a good one. I’m looking forward to reading the next one.
