My Review

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

Magelica’s Journey is about Magelica who is a fairy but she doesn’t know who her parents are. She’s happy but she would like to know where she comes from. She does have a Guardian Angel, Gri, who takes care of her. One day, a ball of feathers with crazy eyes shows up and tells her that her help is needed. That’s when her adventure starts.

This is a cute fantasy story for young children. It has colorful pictures full of the interesting characters. It also teaches a lesson about opening your heart and trusting in love. That’s what Magelica does and she helps the queen of the Isle of Dreams.

At the end of the story, there are some questions to help the reader use their imagination. It also has a page devoted to opening your heart and trusting in love like Magelica did.

My Review

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

The Rescue is the second book in the Magelica’s Voyage series.  Magelica dreams about the missing prince of the Isle of Dreams so she rushes to see the queen to tell her about her dream. Magelica leads everyone on a rescue of the prince from the Isle of Darkness.

This is another cute fantasy story for young children. It has colorful pictures full of the unique characters. It also teaches lessons about laughing as much as you can, believing in yourself, and trusting that everything is going to turn out okay.

At the end of the story, the last 3 pages stress the lessons that are learned in the story and incorporate what happened in the story into the explanation. What a great way for children to learn these important lessons!

About the Author

Louise-Courey-NadeauPassionate about empowering and inspiring children around the world, Louise Courey Nadeau, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and mother of two girls and two boys created her first fairy tale Magelica’s Voyage, with the second book in the series, The Rescue, launched June 2015.

“Through life’s trials and tribulations, I always believed I could. With the Magelica book series my goal is to take young girls and their parents and teachers on empowering adventures and to inspire and encourage them to believe that they are amazing just the way they are, and to discover the power of love, positivity, and believing in themselves.

Magelica’s Voyage is inspired by my life, my family, and the special people and places I love”, says Courey Nadeau. “All of the characters in the story, including Magelica are reflections of the person I am- the wacky part, the funny part, the philosopher, the teacher, the caretaker, the chosen mom, the giver, and of course the dreamer. What would Magelica do, I often ask, and I get the answer. When you fly with Magelica, the possibilities are endless and there is magic all around.”
