Elphie and Dad go on an Epic Adventure is a great book for young children. The colors are so bright and really catch your eye. The story is also a good one. Elphie’s dad wants to go to the store to get milk so that they can make chocolate milk. Elphie wants chocolate milk but he doesn’t like going to the store because it’s boring, so he decides to make it into an epic adventure.

Every time Elphie tries to do something on the way to the store, his dad tells him it’s too dangerous or he might hurt himself. Then, when Dad is distracted by his cell phone, Elphie does almost get hurt! Both Elphie and Dad learn an important lesson. Elphie learns that it’s important to listen to Dad. Dad learns that there are more important things than talking on the phone. On the way home from the store, Dad and Elphie DO have an epic adventure together!
