My name is Aimi Wilby. I am not a real person. But I might be. It depends on your imagination.

I was created by Bill and Mia Belew. They are a father and daughter writing team. Bill is old. Really old. I mean like ancient. He got tired, then retired, then finally gave up. He doesn’t work at all any more except to help Mia write books about me. Mia is a 6th grader. She goes to a 6-12th grade private Christian school in Silicon Valley. She’s all high-techy and stuff. But, she still really likes books. Books with pages and stuff that you can hold in your hand.

Since Mia writes books about me, I thought I would write a couple of books about her. Yeah. Go figure. She created me. She wrote a series about me. As a result, I decided to write books about her. Does your head hurt yet?

This book is all about princesses. If you’ve never been a little girl then you can’t understand why little girls like princesses or might want to grow up and be a princess … or just be like a princess.

That’s what this book is about … Growing Up Princess.

There are three parts.

Each gives you an insight into Mia and how she and her dad created me.

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the authors. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

This is a prequel to the series Growing Up Aimi by a young author and her dad. This book is a little different because it is written by the fictional Aimi about Mia and her love of princesses.

After a short introduction about Mia, the main story is about Disney princesses from Pocahontas to Ariel. Mia has been to Disneyland and Disney World and has met all but one of the Disney princesses. Wow!

Each section tells how they met the princess, has a picture of Mia with the princess like the one above, and lists the positive personality traits of that princess. There was a lot of thought about each princess, and it’s obvious that Mia absolutely adores them all!

The last section contains quotes from different characters. Sometimes they’re quotes from the princesses, and sometimes they’re from other characters, but they’re all inspirational and worth sharing.

The only thing that I didn’t care for was the help and links for parents being in the book twice. Once it was right after the Table of Contents and the same information was at the end of the book.

Any girl who loves the Disney princesses will appreciate this book. There’s a lot of information in this book and lots of stories about Mia and her dad meeting the princesses.
