My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

What a delightful book! Macey is full of zest and brightens everyone’s day even though she’s been through a lot in her short life. She spreads her happiness wherever she goes and is a great example for other children to follow. This story isn’t only about happiness, though, it’s about acceptance. Macey looks “normal” but she has trouble learning some things, so her friends and family help her.

The illustrations are cute and colorful. Just for fun, there is a sneaky guy hiding 16 times throughout the pages. Youngsters will enjoy looking for him, especially since he’s not hard to find.

I hope to read more books about Macey in the future. She’s such an inspiration!

Caitlin knows the trial and trauma of childhood cancer, childhood disability, and the fear of almost losing her daughter — the star of the series — Macey.
