My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from Kaleidoscope Tours. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

This charming children’s book is about a young fox named Fairfax who notices that his mom’s tummy is growing. He’s afraid she’s eating too much but his dad explains that he’s going to be a brother, and that’s where his sister is growing. He is so excited about the news that he cries (happy cry)!

This book is fun to read and has bright and colorful illustrations and is told in rhymes. It’s good for any child to read but perfect for children who are going to be a big brother or a big sister.

About the Author

I am a married mother of two grown up children.

I am recently retired due to a serious illness which following the treatment has given me far too many empty days!

Over the years I have worked in a number of children’s nurseries, two of which I owned. I have also started a private school where I worked as the principal.

As a lover of drama I found that working with children allowed me to unleash the comedy side of me most days, during role play or reading the children books.

I realised over the years that certain books had the childrens fixed attention and tickled their sense of humour! Especially if read in a humorous way!

Due to the many empty days I found myself in I decided to try writing a story myself. A story that would not only educate but would allow a child to explore empathy and embrace the multitude of emotions that will come their way whilst growing up.

Humour is a great way to hold a child’s attention and make learning enjoyable and the Fairfax books are all about learning how to understand and deal with the challenges life throws at us with a lovely splash of humour!

Each story helps deliver a valuable lesson and is put across in a way that makes reading fun!!

And at the centre of each story is Fairfax is the fox, a loveable character that I am sure young children will relate to and learn from during their developing years.
