Book Review: Flicker’s Garden Rescue by Jodie Parachini

Aitchoo! Queen Bee has the sneezies and is having trouble organizing this year’s pollination. Without pollen, the plants won’t be able to make the seeds and fruits for the annual Garden Party. Luckily, Flicker and her friends are on hand to save the day.

My Review

I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

It’s a workday at the Grand Bug Hotel, but Flicker hears someone sneezing. As he looks around, everyone is working (and not sneezing) until he finds Queen Bee who has the sneezies from allergies and is afraid that she won’t be able to organize this year’s pollination. Flicker gets busy to rally the troops to get the pollination done.

Flicker’s Garden Rescue is a great story with beautiful illustrations. It also teaches children about the importance of pollination and how it works. And it shows how helping others can be important. It’s definitely a book that will be in my grandchildren’s library.
