Book Review: Knight’s Fall by Angela Henry

Xavier Knight was an angel—until Heaven kicked him out. Now he’s a private detective in New Orleans, trying to put his old immortal life behind him while avoiding Lucifer’s bounty hunters. But when his latest case uncovers a plot to end the world with a supernatural drug, he’ll need all the otherworldly help he can get to stop it.

An apprentice mage on the run, a nosy storefront psychic, a vial of angel blood, and a surly cherub are hardly the stuff of legends. But they’re all he’s got.

My Review

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the first fallen angel book I’ve read. I usually steer clear of them because it’s just not my thing. That being said, I really enjoyed reading about Xavier. Who would have thought that a fallen angel would become a P.I.? It definitely makes for an interesting story.

I like Angela Henry’s writing style. It’s easy to follow and so creative! First, you have a fallen angel who is trying to find the woman he loves (who also caused his downfall). He has a roommate, Minx, who saved him the first night he was sent to Earth. She’s not only a cat shifter but a beautiful and famous model.

Xavier ends up taking a case that he thinks will be simple but he ends up uncovering a conspiracy and learning the truth about why his wings were clipped. It seems that maybe he’s in over his head. There is so much more to this case than just finding a missing heirloom!

I definitely recommend Knight’s Fall, which is full of mystery and suspense, and hope to read more Xavier Knight novels in the future.
