NEW RELEASE….
When flamboyant senior sleuth Sadie Kramer learns the owner of Cioccolato, her favorite chocolate shop, is in trouble, she heads for the California wine country with a tote-bagged Yorkie and a slew of questions. The fourth generation Tremiato Winery promises answers, but not before a dead body turns up at the vintners’ scheduled Harvest Festival.
All four Tremiato siblings have possible motives, as well as a few peripheral acquaintances, but only one could be the guilty party. As Sadie juggles truffles, tips and turmoil, she’ll need to sort the grapes from the wrath in order to find the identity of the killer.

My Review
A Flair for Chardonnay is a murder mystery with a quirky main character who likes solving mysteries. Sadie owns a boutique and when she overhears the friend and business owner next door arguing with someone on the phone, she decides to go to his family’s vineyard for the weekend to see if she can figure out what’s going on. She doesn’t have any problem with going behind his back since he doesn’t like to talk much about his family. And she needs a weekend to herself anyway (at least that’s what she tells herself). Instead of a relaxing weekend, though, she ends up in the middle of a murder mystery and she’s afraid that her friend might be involved.
I like the characters. None of them are “normal” which, ironically, is realistic because how many of us are normal? I admire the way Sadie dresses – with flair. She’s pretty nosy but she is diplomatic enough that people don’t realize that she’s prying for information.
A Flair for Chardonnay is a quick, fun read even though it’s a murder mystery. It was predictable but still a good read if you enjoy a fun mystery.
