My Review
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
This is the eighth book in the series but it’s the first one I’ve read and although I like to read series in order if I can, Power Struggle does stand on its own. When things from the past come up, enough backstory is given so that the story is easy to follow.
Detective Madison Knight is assigned to solve the murder of the man who killed her grandfather. Although she’s not sad to see that he’s dead, she is concerned because his murder looks the same as one by Constantine. He nearly killed her the last time he was in town and she’s afraid that he’s going to try to finish the job. And then she finds out that’s exactly why he’s back…
Power Struggle is full of suspense and action. Madison and her family are in danger and her situation seems impossible. I’ve read several of Carolyn Arnold’s books and have enjoyed them all and this one doesn’t disappoint.
